Matt Ross founded Ventures Marketing Group in 1994 after a successful career as a senior account manager with several national advertising agencies.

Prior to starting Ventures Marketing Group, Matt served for over 20 years in senior management positions with national and international agencies including Bozell & Jacobs, McCann Erickson, and Ogilvy & Mather, representing such clients as American Medical International, Aramco, Rossignol Skis, Columbia/HCA, Panhandle Eastern, Jockey International, Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority, the Council for Energy Awareness, and LTV Corporation.

Matt is active in leadership roles in a wide variety of community and professional organizations. He served for eleven years as the volunteer marketing chairman for Scout Fair for the Sam Houston Council of the Boy Scouts of America and serves on the Board of the Houston chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). For AMA he serves as the Director of Programming, has for five years co-chaired the chapter’s Marketer of the Year annual event, and in 2007 founded and continues to chair the chapter’s Chief Marketing Officer Advisory Board.

In 2010 Matt was asked to co-chair the marketing committee of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and joined the Board in 2012. Matt is a published author and holds a patent in the automotive aftermarket field.
